Work packages are a useful tool towards effective management of projects. They are designed to create smaller sub-sets of work that, when placed together, deliver the overall project. Each element is individually easier to manage and is delivered faster – helping both the project manager and the team.
A project board needs to consist of more than the business and supplier viewpoints. The interests of the end user also need to be considered. In small businesses, the user and business views are often represented by the same person but can be very different in outcome. All need to be given equal weight.
